Honor's Blood is a mature, community driven, multi-game guild. We are a group of friends who play games together. We'll try just about any game, and we have a presence in several MMO's. We have a 50 slot vent server, and encourage people to use it.
In order to become a member, you must sign up on our site and post an intro on our forums. In order to keep your member status, you need to post to our forums at least once a month. Members get in-game privlidges that recruits and lurkers (folks who do not post to the forum once a month) do not receive. We have no rules regarding play time, play style, or any of that. We're here to have fun, not put up a bunch of walls with restrictive rules.
Once you are signed up, be sure to check out the Wiki for important info about the guild. We try to keep it updated with helpful info about the games that we play.
Rock Paper Shotgun has written up a little preview of some of the features in Guild Wars 2. If you have been running around, ignorant of what Guild Wars 2 is brining to the table, this article is for you.
If we have enough people commited to raiding every week, we will set up a weekly event for that raid. This will be separate from the other, "random raids," that we have been setting up. However, we will likely cut back on our random raids if we end up with a weekly raid.
If we do not have enough people commited to it, we will work with some of the other guilds in the BWA to find spots in their raids for the folks who are interested.
If you intend to raid like this, but your character is not yet high enough level, or does not yet have the right gear to do so, please post in the thread(s), indicating your desire to participate, letting us know why you are not yet ready. Be sure to post the required scheduling information as well.
Visually stunning. Guess I was a little spoiled with SWG and figured that space ships could fly in three dimentions.... (Ha AH AH CHstarfoxCHOOO sorry sneezed there). At least the ground combat looks amazing.
Curse you SOE for killing MMO's as they should be.
27 mostly good games!!! This is an insane deal! Even if you own some of the games already, this is an awesome pack to pick up for $69.99. All of the DLC in Fallout 3 GOTY edition which just became available on Steam is worth $50 of that itself. I am seriously considering getting this to round out a lot of the games I already have.
Over the past few weeks, the Turbine folks have been releasing info for the upcoming patch. Included in the patch will be 12 revamped instances. 2 Small Fellowship, 6 Fellowship, 3 Twelve Person Raid, and one 24 person raid.
These instances have seen considerable changes to how they are accessed, who can benefit from doing them, how quests are handled in the instances, how the fights work, and what loot drops.
The affected instances are the small fellowship quests in Eregion, the Annuminas instances, Helegrod, and the Great Barrow. That's only 7 instances, right? Well... GB and Helegrod are being split up. Helegrod will end up being four instances, each taking 45-60 minutes to complete. GB will be three instances.
Instances will now be accessed via the skirmish join system. This will allow you to access them from anywhere in the world. You will also be able to specify a level range, and difficulty rating for the instances. This will allow more people to run the content and have a challenging experience.
Many of the quests in the instances will now be daily repeatables that are automatically received upon entering the instance. There will still be some quests that are obtained externally, however.
Many of the fights in the instances have been changed to present a more fun and challenging experience. Confusing puzzles have been removed. Encounters have been designed to flow better. Boss fights have been changed to be both more challenging, and many have had, "challenge mode," options added to them. These challenge modes involve defeating the bosses in a way that is different than normal.
Loot has been changed to skirmish marks and rep tokens. There are also, "rare sparkly," drops such as 2nd age crafting mats and consumable items that permanently increase your character stats.
This is just a summary of what's coming. If you want to read all of the specifics, check out the following links:
